We got behavioral therapy coverage through KKI outpatient behavioral clinic in Columbia, MD. ADHD diagnosis; no ASD.

Depends on your insurance but probably not. Our developmental ped suggested it for our son when he was very young, even though he didn't have an ASD diagnosis (and at the time he was so young that we didn't know exactly what he did or did not have going on). Our insurance covered it for a while but then changed their policy midway to include only ASD and we lost all coverage. It then became too expensive to continue out of pocket so we stopped. It did help tremendously at the time though. Now my son is almost 5 and we know it is ADHD we are predominantly dealing with.

Its generally only for ASD and not all insurances cover it. You can ask the insurance but it makes no sense given what it is.

We weren't able to get it covered for ADHD with Aetna.

Same here. Were told only for ASD. It's incredibly expensive and the only reason some insurers cover it is because in some states it's mandated.

I don't know if I'd assume that. Our insurance covers it only for an ASD diagnosis and no amount of anything got them to expand coverage for ABA. But, please report back if you're successful so we can try the same as we're in a similar boat.

My son does not have ASD but will probably soon have an ADHD diagnosis, when old enough. We need to start behavioral therapy or ABA. If we go to a dev ped, can we get it covered if they recommend it? My insurance will cover it if ASD, and I am assuming also if dev ped prescribes it.
