+1. And we selected a simple light fixture (easier to clean) and put long lasting LED bulbs in it.

Call a few handymen and ask if they can get up there to do it. I don't think an electrician is required unless you didn't already have an existing light and needed new wiring put in.

I'd anxious to know the same thing - any specific lights you have in mind op? I am nervous to pick a new one because I worry I won't make a good choice and it'll cost a fortune to have someone install!

I would like to replace my foyer light (the builder installed it. 'Nuff said on why I want to replace it).
My foyer is two stories and the light is over a staircase. How can this easily be replaced? I assume not too many electricians have ladders that tall plus you can't easily place a ladder on the stairs. But with more and more newer house having 2 story whatevers, lights are switched out. But how?
