As much as she wants on the first night and one piece a day after that.

The 9yo gets more candy than her sister. It's a free for all Halloween night, then 1-2 pieces each day until it's gone.

We've never done it before, but I'm thinking I might have the switch witch visit this year.

If they are my kids they will only over dose the first couple days after that they stop eatting it

That's what my son does. So I don't regulate.

As they got older it was a guideline but we did not regulate it.

One child threw up after eating 20 pieces... I think he was 6 or 7.

He literally turned green... I thought that was just a tv thing... But I saw it with my own eyes.

Also we donate all but a bowl full and throw away anything still around at Christmas.

The switch witch is kind of like the tooth fairy -- comes in the night, takes the candy, and leaves a toy in exchange.

I let them eat as much candy as they can for 2-3 days. anything remaining gets tossed/goes missing. We don't keep candy in the house and it rarely gets bought.

The switch witch for a 9 and 12 yo?

I'd never heard of it before. Is this too old? Obviously they won't believe it's true but it sounds like a cute way to get rid of the candy.
