OP said the holidays, which I'm assuming means December. I have never seen "good snow" at Wintergreen that early in the year. It has happened probably, but I've never witnessed it!

We stayed there in the summer once and I was very impressed. we rented a beautiful house. I would try it during winter.

Manmade snow, and many slopes won't be open. It is challenging skiing because of the slushy/icy nature of manmade snow, especially that early in the season. There are some nice places to stay, though.

Anyone been here? How is it? Considering going during the holidays for some skiing, but not sure how nice it will be or if there will even be snow.
