This is easy to fix cheaply. Group all like things together and put each category in clear storage (Container Store's cheap multi-size line is perfect and very affordable). That's the main job done right there, then purge each box as you see fit.

I'm giving up and throwing money at the problem.

I have a great 2 bedroom space (one adult; one walking one year old) and I need it organized. The big space organization is the kitchen and the baby's room.

Suggestions on who to hire and what a reasonable rate is?

Not looking to purge - I do that a fair amount but how to get things sorted so I don't break things; forget about his bigger clothes; toy rotation, etc.
