Possibly too far, but French Maternal School in Georgetown has a 5 mornings option for kids turning 2 by September 1.

Do the new Goddard schools do half day?

St. Paul's Nursery School in CCDC has a 5 mornings a week program for all students. Kids have to be 2.5 when they start. A very warm, nurturing program.

That's pretty much your options -- take a full time childcare slot and only use it half time. Or a traditional part-time preschool for 1-2 mornings. Otherwise, you hire a babysitter.

Another thing to look into is a home daycare. They may be more flexible about schedules.

Hi all,

I'm looking for a nursery school/daycare near-ish to the Palisades that I can place my daughter in five mornings a week next Fall (she'll be 2.5 then). Most options seem to either be full days or two days a week for her age. Is there somewhere I'm missing? Any suggestions? Thanks!
