Well if the expectant mom is having her 6th child, she probably has a lot of wisdom to impart.

I'm OP, I wasn't really asking with breast feeding in mind. More like questions about post partum depression issues, bleeding, recovering from c sections/episiotomies. A place that specifically deals with the the physical/emotional aftereffects of birth on the mother.

I figured expectant moms would be a good place because they'd want y know what to expect and a lot of people in EM ate not FTMS so they have valuable information

I'm leaning in favor of the idea, but still giving it consideration.

Why? Most of the bfing posts (most!) deal with the pp period, so it seems like a good spot for it. For the ones asking how to wean a 2 year old, or how much does your 6 mo drink, there is still GP.

I like this idea a lot!

Also think op's suggestion makes a lot of sense.

As someone who's been on Expectant Moms intermittently since 2011 (during my first pregnancy), I totally agree! That would be really, really helpful.

What about a completely separate forum for postpartum?

I think this is a great idea too!! I am always wondering about questions about breastfeeding, c-section reconverty, vitamin D etc. I tend to go to expectant because I don't feel like it exactly lines up with general parenting. I hope Jeff starts it!

This is not a bad suggestion. I'll give it some thought. Thanks for suggesting it.

I agree. It would be good for breastfeeding/pumping questions and work issues.

Hi Jeff,

Could the expectant moms forum be changed to something like 'expectant moms and post partum'?

I find myself frequently confused about where to pose questions about recovering physically/emotionally from pregnancy. The questions don't seem to belong in general parenting because they aren't really about parenting and I had one question moved to the fitness forum but there I'm not getting the right audience. Just thought that was a gap that could maybe be useful for people.

Thanks
