Day one of red blood. So yes, light flow would count

It's very hard for me to figure out too... I spot for a few days and have an extremely light period.

Hi, I am starting to chart, and I was counting a light period (not just spotting, but light flow) as the first day of my cycle. But then I read that only "full flow" should count, and I am confused that maybe I have been starting the charted cycles too early. For example, yesterday I had spotting during the afternoon and then at around 9 last night got some light flow. Does that count as day 1, or should it be today, when I definitely have full flow? Thx!
