Popcorn balls? Wtf? That's a small step up from raisins, but still, ew.

But definitely full-sized snickers, full-sized bags of M&M's, full size Reese's, etc. You get the picture.

Full sized chocolate pars.

Someone once gave out dollar bills - a buck per kid. Also a winning house.

when i was a kid i was mostly excited when a house had a wide variety of candy to pick from. reese cups, jolly ranchers, snickers, starburst, etc. all in 1 bowl!

That's so sweet! I'm not saying I would do something like that because, whoa lotta work, but do you think people would appreciate that kind of thing today?

There was a really nice elderly lady on my street who hand sewed little ghosts, pumpkins and goblins. We always made sure to get to her house early so we wouldn't miss out!

I remember running around the neighborhood when I was a kid and sharing tips with other kids about where the best houses were and what kind of awesomeness they were handing out.

Cans of pop! Full-size Snickers! Caramel Apples! Popcorn Balls!

Lord knows why I was enthralled by receiving a store-brand cream soda that I never drank, but that's neither here nor there.
