+1 Resolve Inspire board made a huge difference for me. I even met some ladies in person through it.

Note: it's not anonymous. I think that makes people much nicer and more careful with responses. I also found it was less people on clomid and more going through ART (IVF, DE etc).

MENTS you get used to. There are just some days you don't want to read about another persons pregnancy or MC.

NP here. I'm going to check out the Reddit site. I've been on most of the others, if even just by doing a general Google search and winding up on them. My problem is that a lot of the people on those other boards just seem kind of dumb :/ There is definitely a higher level of infertility conversation on DCUM.

I found really nice supportive people on the TTC board on WeddingBees.

Totally seconding this. I found a wonderfully supportive community and tons of expertise on Fertile Thoughts. I also found a group of women roughly my age and with my particular issue who were all cycling around the same time. It was an amazing source of comfort and support for me.

I liked Reddit r/infertility. They also have r/infertilitybabies for when people become pregnant. This is nice bc there were no pregnancy issues/announcements. Just a safe place for those really struggling.

Pros: people are very well versed and reading the threads helped me create a plan. It is the most well informed group of people I e encountered on the Internet.

Cons: I like the anonymity at dcum. Honestly I stopped using Reddit bc the user names all changed...meaning pretty much everyone got pregnant or exited gracefully. It is very cliquish. You generally only get the really good support/analysis and upvotes if people remember you and know that you're not an asshole.

But if you're in it for the long haul, I really recommend it.

Miscarriage is not offensive because you were pregnant. It needs MENTS (mention warning) as it can bring back sad memories for many. Both good news and bad news can trigger emotions in different ways. It's helpful to warn the readers about it. When I am not in a mood to sympathize with others, I skip reading all posts that are marked as MENTS. If there is no mention of MENTS, I feel annoyed to read them but usually don't yell at the writer. I feel like yelling.

If you are up for true crazy, you can always try BabyCenter - they have an entire infertility/TTC section, although I confess I usually get sucked into the "Dealing with In-Laws" (DWIL) board so entirely that I hardly spend any time in the IF Forum! Oh man, DCUM has nothing on that board. And if you're looking for an international perspective, Mumsnet is the Brit version. I also hear good things about Resolve although I've not really used it myself.
