I have, but I have found depending on where you go and the age of your kids it is nice to have another adult or two around to get a break from the kiddos, driving and all the other travel hassles. Do I do it, sure, but I plan my trip with the realization that I need to find a way to get a break - especially hard if there is a time difference. Traveled to Norway, the kids slept on the plane and I couldn't. Showed up at 7 am in Oslo - exhausted needing a nap and had 2 kids ready to go. With a spouse you can take turns.

Several times a year. I actually enjoy traveling with just my son (preschooler). My husband gets angry about every last little perceived slight or expense (and there are a lot of them when traveling), and I find I cannot enjoy myself when I am constantly trying to disfuse his anger, or distract my son from it.

I have a ton of flexibility in my job and my parents live on Cape Cod... I travel with the kids without him at least 3 weeks between Memorial Day and Labor Day (not all at once) so I can work remote at the beach while my parents watch the kids. He misses us, but it is part of our deal since I would much prefer to live in MA than here.

I fly with the kids to visit family without him, but I don't do other overnight trips without him. It's more fun as a family.

I do road trips with my kid if my husband has to work weekends. Never more than 1-2 nights, though.

If I was a SAHM and it was summer, I think I might pair up with another mom in a similar situation and head out for the week. Somewhere close where the dads could make a long weekend of it, maybe.

DH and I both work full-time. I travel for work more than DH does, but he has more freedom with when he can take time off (he opened his own firm with a friend).

I don't really have any desire to take a vacation without DH. I've done a few girls trips over the years, and they're okay, but not anything I'd choose or organize. He does a guys weekend once a year. DH always winds up working part of the time and getting kind of bored at some point.

NO! I need DH to help manage the kids. Likewise, he needs me to help him, so he doesn't travel alone either.

Obviously, we don't have jobs requiring travel. Maybe we could when the kids are HS age, but immediately "House Party" move tropes come to mind. Oh well.

No it's too much work. It's not the money and I'm not afraid, I just wouldn't have fun.

DS and I will do short trips, mostly during the summer. Both mine and DH's parents have beach houses within a 2.5 hr driVe from us so ds (toddler) and I will make short trips. Wouldn't go on an extended vacation without Dh although maybe would reconsider if I had a close friend in a similar situation as us.

Yes. I took a heavenly 10 day trip to France with friends last year.

If you mean travel with kids, yes to that as well, although mostly to visit family.

I'm a SAHM and DH obviously can't take off from work every time the kids are off from school.

Do you ever vacation without DH?

I have done short trips (Philadelphia, Baltimore, Williamsburg) solo but not long ones.

My SAHM friends seem to have limited financial resources or just want to wait to travel with their husbands.
