Have a Halloween party. Take advantage of big mark downs. Or hide candy around your house and let your kids find it.

If you'll be in town, you'll probably have better luck finding events Oct 24-25 rather than Nov 1.

Right. Hence my question about non-residential activities on the day after. We will not be going door-to-door in any neighborhood b/c of our travel.

Is your family into running at all? No trick or treating, but the Goblin Gallop has a 5K and Fun Run and people dress in costumes, there's face painting and a moon bounce, etc.

Bummer! Maybe focus on one of the post-Halloween "punkin' chunkin'" kind of things at one of the big farms? Not the same as trick or treating but still in the spirit.
