The near term of what? Stainless steel sinks can last a long, long time.

we have three sinks though so it is going to be an extra thousand dollars so I thought I would see. The sinks are undermount if this matters. They are not old either. I just make a bad decision on granite when building this house.

Our were undermounted and we managed to keep it for the new countertops.

I would push back and see if they can be salvaged. I had a friend move into a house with new granite but they kept the old ceramic (PINK) sink. She was able to have it replaced with stainless. So it's definitely possible to preserve it depending.

The sinks are affixed to the granite. Are they under mount or over mount? Porcelain or stainless steel?

Hi our contractor said we will have to replace our sinks because he feels they will be damaged in removal process. What say DCUM? I actually like our sinks--and we have three. One on island, one in pantry and one main sink so this could be costly. I am trying to feel out if I should push back or do I have to accept that this is the reality. Thoughts?
