In my old grocery store they had gluten free ice cream cakes. I am no longer GF and this grocery store (Kroger) is not in the DC area, so I can't give you the names of DC stores with them. But my advice is to find a large sized grocery store (A lot of stores in DC proper and the close in suburbs are relatively small because of the high real estate price) with a big selection, and go to the ice cream cake section. I am almost certain they would have one. Usually they are made in the bakery or by big names like Carvel

Actually you're right about Carvel, they will substitute the crunchies for fudge:

You might also be able to request a GF from Baskin Robbins

Hence the point of an ice cream cake...

Nah. Many ice cream cakes have a layer of real cake.

The gross ones.

I got Cheesecake Factory recommendations from a website with other restaurants on its links. Here's one:

Friendly's:

You can try Cold Stone, but there's still a chance of cross contamination:

Places like WF or MOM's may have them in their freezer section b/c they have pretty large selection of GF foods.

Can you make one?

Soften chocolate ice cream, spread in a 9x12 pan, freeze. Soften vanilla ice cream, spread on top of chocolate. Freeze. Pour Hershey syrup on top and either sprinkles or crumbled gluten free Oreos and freeze a 3rd time. Easy!

Probably the cookie crumbles in between the layers. Don't have any Recs but making one yourself isn't that difficult! If all else fails that is

Where can I get one? I would appreciate all suggestions especially in Rockville/Bethesda. Thanks
