They just bubble in the book right under the item. Then the books get cut apart and sent through a machine to score. Tell him not to press too hard, or the mark goes through to the next page. In 3rd grade the SOLs will be online and there will be no bubbling, unless he is in special ed and gets paper/pencil for his IEP.

Subject: bubble sheet or not on 2nd grade CogAT?
With tests planned for next week, I took some time today to get my son to practice filling a bubble sheet. He replied that they will fill in the bubble n the book, not on a separate bubble sheet, and that's how they practiced at school.
Who's right? I'd hate to see him mess up the finicky bubble sheet, but I really don't want to push it if it's not being used.
