Yes. You need to wash everything you buy. EVERYTHING.

They've also been sitting in warehouses. You know what else lives in warehouses?

Yes, no way would use them without washing them.

who knows where and for how long they lay around gathering dust, etc and who touched them before you brought them home and wil be wiping your hands and face with them.

I always wash kids stuff too before they wear it and most our stuff. Only exception are the 'dry clean only' things.

I wash everything new before using it. Worked in retail in high school.

Yes, otherwise your guests wet arms and legs will be covered in lint. They won't absorb well, either.

Ugh! Yes!!!!!!! OMG you obviously have never worked in retail. Do you know what happens to items before they come home with you? Please get in the habit of washing all new items before using. I would hope you wash your fruit before eating it as well.

Yes because otherwise it smells like the store, rather than fresh laundry.

Yes, always, otherwise it leaves fuzz everywhere.

Exactly this.

Same here. I always wash new socks inside out to get rid of the fuzz before I wear them.

I do (usually), mainly because they need a good tumble in the dryer to remove the loose lint.
There is nothing worse than drying off from a shower and getting a bunch of lint stuck to a wet body.
