Hahahahaha. So funny to read this, I'm Canadian and these have been standard technology for years. And no, the servers don't ask how much you want to tip. Either this server truly doesn't understand that it is up to the customer to add the tip on the machine, or there's a greedier motivation for asking you outright. Honestly, this is the kind of thing I'd phone the manager about. So rude.
