As for therapy- I don't think he's in a place where he can tolerate it. Once we figure out the meds he will be more receptive to it. For now he is so wound up he cannot even sit for it- it's like he's manic

Op here- we were in focalin and Zoloft combo for a good little run. Once he outgrew the Zoloft dose he started to get really activated when we upped it. It seems he just can't tolerate anymore. Dr even tried combining it with Risperdal which helped for a little but it just seems like nothing is working anymore. I'm distraught and so anxious

Our son takes Focalin with Zoloft. We have used some oils for calming but I don't think they help that much. Its more mental and they smell nice.

I haven't had any luck with any supplements (other than maybe some caffeine for ADHD) but is he in therapy? Cognitive behavioral therapy has made a huge difference for my young DC. Also mindful meditation and other similar breathing exercises. (Along with meds. Hopefully you will find the right combination for your DS.)

Personally I don't think I believe that these do much, but we are having a terrible terrible time finding the right combo for my 7 year old. SSRIs make him manic. Stimulants without something for his anxiety made his anxiety terrible. Anything that has helped your child while we wait to find the right combo?
