Only if it's there's no wait. Overrated and not at all worth waiting for.

+1000 So not worth it. I am from there and cannot understand the appeal.

Hotel Indigo, Union Station, Hermitage hotel.... all nice.
Eat at Husk if you can. Delicious.
I don't live there anymore, but a lot of my friends hang out at pinewood social. Bar with games and stuff, kinda like H street country club.
Other good eats: Arnolds (if you're gonna be there during the week.... only open on weekdays); City House.

Just went for a girls weekend - we stayed at a great AirBnB a 15 min walk from Broadway. I posted on the Nashville Yelp discussion boards asking for ideas of things to do, particularly during the day since music + food are the obvious and great evening activities. I got a ton of great responses - take a look there

np. We went to Bluebird. You need to be on your toes to get tickets in advance online within the first 30 seconds that they are available.

Agree with others about Country Music Hall of Fame, with studio tour, and seeing a performance at the Opry.

We also toured Jackson's plantation.

We stayed at the Hermitage.

Try to get in on The Highway (SiriusXM radio station) evening happy hour -- they let listeners go on. Country Music Hall of Fame is good, as is the studio tour (an add-on to the museum ticket and worth it). Johnny Cash musem is good too.

Have a red hot chicken sandwidth (I forgot the place.. ask around).

The main street is Broadway. You can count on hearing a lot of music - free. There are generally no cover charges for the bars and restaurants that have live music since the performers are often trying to be discovered. A great restaurant a few blocks from all the action is Whiskey Kitchen. Great food. Great drinks.

Whiskey kitchen is good. Also close and good is virago.

If you have time, take a side trip to Franklin's historic downtown mainstreet. Lots of cute shops, tasty eateries and a beautiful farmers market. It is about a 20 minute drive from Nashville.
