I would not be a fan. I loathe my mom's new husband, despite my parents' constant pressure for me to put on a happy face. He's a loser. I didn't ask him to walk because I didn't want to.

Oh, go away!

LOL, I agree. It's "sweet" that they share their "property".

If the Dad had thought this was such a good idea, why didn't he suggest it from the beginning during wedding planning instead of making a big deal out of it and deciding to do it himself? Did the bride approve this? I don't know, it reeks of manipulative behavior to me....

The bride knew....geez...people cannot even do anything nice without other people saying they had ill intent.
I agree. Why the need to turn a positive act into a negative?

It was touching. Too bad my ex would not ever do something so kind to my new husband. But maybe no one saw this coming either, and maybe that is the point.

I thought this was very touching. As someone who had no one to walk me down the aisle, having two "fathers" to do the honors was very sweet. How very gracious and kind of the bio father to recognize the contribution and love of the step father in raising his daughter. Too bad more people aren't able to but aside their differences for their children.
