Why not send you DD to a professional who deals with anxiety? Life will be filled with stimuli that provides feelings of discomfort.

McLean is great for children with anxiety. They offer a lot of supports to manage anxiety but still offer challenging academics.

Washington Waldorf. Lots of opportunity for creative learning. The materials get covered in a way that reduces anxiety.

why would you recommend someone take the pressure down and then say your daughter had 4 years of pressure?
Maybe someone else can learn from her daughter's experience.

Our DD goes to Madeira, which has a mix of day and boarding kids. It's not as academically rigorous, as a general matter, as Holton or NCS (though the opportunities are there for a girl who wants to create an equally advanced curriculum for herself). Lots of nice kids and varied interests with varying abilities and skills. We like it. Our DD would not have done well in a pressure cooker HS.

Our DDs are at NCS. There is a fair amount of pressure and I would not recommend it for an anxious kid. Good luck!
