At one of those and hate it. Kids have been there since K. They are now 2nd and 4th.

Do you mean "best" or "whitest"? Taylor (81%) and Nottingham (80%) are right behind Tuckahoe (82%), so not too bad. Jamestown (85%) still wins, though.

Let's not turn this into a race issue. We are talking about parental involvement, PTA, test scores etc... it doesn't matter if there are white majorities.

Please tell me how you quantify those things to come up with "best." You can't. We all know perfectly well what OP meant. If he/she is asking for a simple answer, it has to be based on something simple.

Isn't it funny how nobody ever blinks or whines about lack of diversity at 100% black schools?

No one ever posts "which is the best elementary in Arlington -- Hoffman Boston? Carlin Springs?" like they are just randomly naming 2 of the 23 elementary schools.

So many parents will sleep better knowing that they can tell everyone that their children attend The Best Elementary school in Arlington.

+1

Naming the new one "Discovery" was a wasted opportunity.

Since all kids aren't clones, there is no definitive "best." Unless you really do mean "whitest" and then it's Jamestoen.

Or Jamestown, for those who can type. Unlike me.

I'm not sure what "white" has to do with "best."

In terms of programs offered, the tech focus and not being overcrowded right now, Jamestown wins.

What does race have to do with anything?
