That’s adorable. And I broke my lower leg and it was so weird and hairy after the calf was off

I break a lot and yes this is common like other posters have mentioned. If she wants to cut the hair, why not? At least maybe it will make her feel better.

Yeah my cast has been off for a few weeks now- still really hairy so I just shaved it buybacks I’m feeling like this might be something I regret lol, I’m sure it’ll go back to normal after a while

Yes. The body does its best to protect injured parts. Hair is one mechanism. I actually find it fascinating the way the body tries to tend to itself.

By the way, the hair will slough off pretty quickly in a few weeks. It's like the long dark hair a baby has when it is born. Just protective hair.

Got it removed and my arm is really hairy compared

Yes. I recently broke my wrist and this happened. The doctor said it had something to do with the body wanting to keep the limb warm in response to the muscle atrophy, or something like that.

Yes! I broke my arm a few years ago and it was covered in dark hairs when I took the cast off. The doctor had warned me about it and probably explained why, but I can't remember now. The worst was the dead skin coming off though. Don't worry, it'll go back to normal.

Yup. I broke my wrist when I was about 10, and I remember also being grossed out by the scrawny, hairy arm after. But it went back to normal pretty quickly. I have now, and have always had very subtle arm hair, so I wasn't expecting that. At least we're approaching long sleeve weather...

Yes! I broke my arm when I was 15, wore a cast for 12 weeks, and when it came off, my arm was pale, skinny, and hairy. It went back to normal after about a month.
