Dr Meg Van Achtenberg on the Hill is a psych who also does therapy in addition to meds management. I'm sure she would be open to starting with therapy only if you didn't want to go straight to meds.

We are having a tough time finding a therapist taking new patients. We are looking for a therapist in close in Maryland or DC who will be a good fit for our 11 year old DS with ADHD and behavioral regulation issues at home. DS is not on medication (yet), but we would consider a psychiatrist to leave that option open. Thanks!
