I seem to recall that they only have porta-pots which is a big turnoff to me. Does anyone know if they've installed real toilets anywhere?

I guess everyone has a different view of "pricey" but it's only $6 for admission plus $2 per ride (and there are only 3 rides offered). The gem mining will add to the price but it's worth it if your kids are into rocks.

The pumpkin patch is already open so get there early to avoid the lines.

We go a lot with my 2 year old, but we live 5 minutes away and have a membership. The animals are great. There are pony rides, tractor rides and a small cow train you can do for $2 each. There are a few slides and some of the old stuff from the Enchanted Forest. There are picnic tables too and open grass space for picnicking if you bring lunch. I think its great for the under 5 crowd, but there isn't tons to do like staying there for hours. We like to go right when it opens at 10 and stay until 11:30 or 12. Centennial Park is nearby if you are looking for more to add on.

For 3, I think the farm is great! We went last spring. Our 4 yo loved it. The older two (6 & 9) weren't as excited until they got to the mining experience....

It did make me realize how few things we do now that are directed to our youngest kid!

Most weekends they have the Mobile Mining setup there and my kids really flip for it. I'll admit that your dd is probably a bit young for it but you can pay $14 for a bucket of sand that you take to a sifting setup and "mine" for gemstones. There are actual unpolished semi-precious stones in there such as blue lapis and amethyst (and many others) and my kids have rock collections from this that they really cherish. They also sell geodes that you can cut open right there as well as a large selection of fancy stones that are already polished and ready to display. It's great fun for rock hounds.

I live nearby. The farm is adorable and fun but I wouldn't drive more than 30 minutes to go see it. Once the pumpkin patch opens in the fall, it tends to be extremely crowded. I don't know if the patch open, yet, but get there around opening time to avoid a long line to get in. The animals are cute and fun but there aren't a whole lot of them. There are pony rides and hay rides but both cost a little extra. As a whole, the place is not expensive.

Of course, they have adopted the old fixtures from The Enchanted Forest. If you had the pleasure of going there as a child before they closed down it will be a blast from the past.

I would like to take my 3yo DD there. Is it any good? I would like to go this weekend.
