It isn't as wet as carpet wet vacuums. It is safe and thoroughly cleans without chemicals.

Are you supposed to steam mop a wood floor?

I use a Dyson cordless with the hardwood floor attachment to touch-up vacuum every day and use the Bona wood floor cleaner maybe once a week.

I vacuum crumbs and then I use the swiffer and a bona mop about 1x every week or two.

I just bought a Bissell steam mop. I also love my Dyson cordless and just bought the hard floor attachment.

I sweep daily and our cleaning team uses vinegar and water once a week.

Wow, I'm glad to hear some people have dirtier floors that I do. We have wood floors throughout - including the kitchen and dining room - and young kids. I sweep several times a week and use the Rubbermaid spray and mop once or twice a week with Method Almond Oil spray and mop solution.

I use a mist-mop with a washable pad on it. I use vinegar and water as the cleaner. I read somewhere that you don't want to use harsh chemicals on the wood. I don't soak them, just spray and wipe down. I usually do a good sweep or swiffer first to get up random detritus.

Are they old? Don't get them wet much.... Sweep and occasionally murphy's oil soap them.

Swiffer Wet Jet or O-Cedar equivalent. I prefer the O-Cedar because I can put whatever I want inside of it.

Just moved to a new house and first time with nice real wood floors (not engineered wood).

What mop or steamer or vacuum should I get?
