I lost 20 pounds and none of my friends said a thing. At first I thought no one noticed, then I realized that it would be super-rude to say something to me. I mean really, would you say to someone else, wow you lost a lot of weight?

This. My face leans out first so 5 lbs does the trick

15 lbs. And probably more if you're tall. I'm 5'3 and that's what I have to lose before it's noticeable to anyone other than myself.

I lost 11 pounds and no one noticed. So I guess I need to lose more than 11 pounds for weight loss to be noticeable.

Wow- time to get a few fitted clothing items- you probably are wearing clothes too big and people don't see you under them. Congrats- that's great. I'd love to know how you did it as well.

I don't know either--the last time I was really kicking ass and working out regularly and eating very well I felt better and could see that my arms were more toned, etc., but then I saw a photo of myself and just felt so disappointed that instill looked so big. Sigh.

Afraid to get on the scale and be disappointed but after many failed attempts, I seem to be successfully dieting. Clothing feels quite a bit looser and I got my first comment on Friday from a casual acquaintance. For perspective I am not sure of my total weight but would like to lose about 20 and I am muscular so I carry the extra pretty well. So in your experience how much has to come off usually before people notice?
