A carpet cleaner can do this for you - Stanley Steemer, Chem Dry, etc...

That's what I don't like about those upholstered headboards. Harbingers for dust mites, grease/oil from hair, and other residue from lotions on hands, etc. Really hard to clean.

I actually have the same issue with my off white upholstered bed. I am thinking of purchasing a steam cleaner with an upholstery attachment like a mcCulloch one from Walmart or Target and doing the shampoo steam myself, as the upholstery is not removable.

Depending upon the fabric, you could end up ruining the headboard with this method. Get a professional to clean the headboard.

I had Stanley Steemer clean two chairs and was very happy. Great results and pretty cheap.

You may have to remove the fabric and launder or have it dry cleaned.

I have an off-white upholstered fabric headboard that is looking a little dingy down near the mattress. This is in our guest bedroom, so I imagine that it's from body or hair oils. How can I clean this?
