I have little kids that run around in my yard. Even if you pick it up there's still leftovers on the grass. I would be pissed if you willingly let your dog poop or pee on my lawn. Even if you picked it up. Are you really that dismayed by this?

Op, depending on where you live, the first several feet of anyone's yard may not belong to them, and may technically belong to the municipality.
The house I grew up in, in Montgomery County, was public property (no sidewalks) several feet into the yard until after the drainage ditch.
I agree with people who say avoid that house if possible, there is no need to get into a pissing contest with a lunatic. But. If she does call the city, they'll likely do absolutely nothing, especially if the lots are deeded similarly where you are.

I don't know what kind of a neighborhood you live in with regard to sidewalks but our neighborhood has a sidewalk that divides a neighbor's property from a strip of grass next to the curb. I never let my dog poop or pee in a neighbor's own lawn, just on the bit of grass next to the curb.

Neighbor is a jerk. Plus, dog poop doesn't create brown spots. That's caused by a dog's first pee (the long pee) of a walk.

As nonsensical as it is, just avoid that one house in the future. It's not worth your energy to explain to her that poop doesn't cause the spots, pee does, and only sometimes, etc....

Just steer clear of her house. There's always one or two on every street (or they have the no pet signs, which I respect). Just steer clear and your dog will get used to it.

I walk my dog around my neighborhood on a daily basis, and he usually poops in other people's front yards. I always pick it up and throw it in my trash bin.
Last weekend a lady came out of her house and yelled at me as I was picking up my dog's poop in her yard. It was like she was literally standing by a window, waiting for a dog to poop in her yard so she could come out and start yelling. She said the next time my dog pooped there, she would call the city. As far as I know, it is not illegal for a dog to poop on private property, as long as the owner cleans it up. She said the poop created brown spots in her yard. I have no idea how she would even know it was my dog. Lots of dogs get walked around the neighborhood, and I don't even walk by her house very often.
What do I do or say to this lady the next time I see her?
