If parents are staying, yes please order food for them. There is nothing worse than not offering your guests a refreshment that is offered to other guests.

Just wondering...Why are you ordering pizza for a 2 pm party? Seems like you could get by with just snacks and a cake. It's not during lunch or dinner. Might be more cost effective.

Do you say OK when parents ask you if they can bring a sibling? I said OK this year, but it is going to cost me quite a bit more money. I guess I should have anticipated it, but didn't and now I'll just have to deal.

I only have one kid.

I say no to siblings. I also don't order food for parents, because I don't want them to stay after age 3. By 4, I would hope kids are toilet trained and I don't want parents at my kids birthday parties.

For me, it depends on venue. Typically we do home parties, so the more the merrier. But if I am doing a venue party, I only say yes if I have extra room and don't mind the expense.

There is never such thing as too much pizza. It freezes well, its good cold, its good hot, people love to take it home, its relatively cheap. Its just always a good thing to have too much.

OK, thanks all. This party has gotten a little out of hand. I was planning on more like 15 kids, but I've had several requests for siblings to attend and I didn't feel I could say no. And I still have more people who haven't rsvp'ed. They were supposed to have done so by last week, so I'm kinda hoping they will forget or just not come.

Learned my lesson on this one.

But will order pizza for all.

Thanks!

If the parents have to stay, I expect to feed them. If they are simply choosing to stay, not so much.

Yes....in fact I'd count on some parents having more than one slice (especially if a lot of the parents are men.)

Ditto what everyone else said. Not all parents will eat the pizza, but some will. It's gracious to offer it, especially since your party isn't a drop-off.

Order extra. You can always freeze it. And my DD loves pizza for breakfast.

Yes. You have to offer food to everyone.

I always order for parents. I also always have leftovers.

I hate going to parties and not being offered food, especially during mealtimes. If it is 12 and lunch time, I am there with my child. I get hungry too.

I would. I'd much rather have a leftover pizza than have a parent want a slice and not have any for them.

Party is at 2 p.m. on Saturday. Ordering pizzas for the kids. Do you order extra for the parents to have a slice?

If it matters, DS is turning 4 and there are 20 kids coming to the party.

We're having a sheet cake so I plan to hand out extra slices to those parents who want one.
