New poster. I think the eggs are the best I've ever tasted. Much better than organic or free range eggs in the grocery store. We get 2% milk in two smaller bottles because only my son really drinks it, and he doesn't drink it fast. It has always lasted a long time for us.
Their greek yogurts are more like the consistency of regular yogurt, which I like. Their regular yogurts seem really runny. All of them tasted good.
The American cheese is real cheese, and tastes much better than any American cheese in the store.
I got baby arugula once from them and it lasted over a week. Super fresh.
My delivery is usally at 3:30am, so use ice packs for sure.

Long-time SMC customer here--milk, eggs, bacon, ground beef. Turkey at Thanksgiving (really good). Quality is good, and not having to schlep milk and eggs home from the grocery store is better.
21:06, I have had times when the milk went bad faster than I'd like (say, within a week). But not consistently, and I've also had it stay good a lot longer than I'd expect. In general, I've been pleased.

Their skim is more like 1 or 2% in consistency.
My kids can now tell the difference between SMC milk and grocery store milk (even organic). One friend claims she can tell the difference when the cows graze on green grass vs. straw (and she doesn't like the straw milk), but I can't.

They don't want to do the certification but I took the farm tour and was happy with what I saw. Animals were well treated, not overcrowded (thus necessitating antibiotics) and the facility was very clean. The problem I had with the products was that the milk seemed to go bad very fast. Does anyone else notice that?

Is their milk organic?

I used to get milk from them but I found that we don't really drink it so I order cheese, eggs, dog treats. I've also gotten meat from them and it is very good. I don't like the sour cream, it is too thin. I only do plain Greek yogurt and I would order theirs if they had it in larger containers. The smaller containers are too expensive as compared to the 32 oz containers I can get in the store. I've also ordered jam & jelly from them as well as some of the other McCutcheon products. I've had good and bad batches of honey.
They are very reliable and their quality for their own dairy products, with the exception of the sour cream, is top notch.

Does the milk taste better than the ones sold in glass bottles in the store: the Trickling Springs type?

We go through 3 1/2 gallons of 2% and 1 of skim. I also get my eggs from them - the cost is compares to cage free in the grocery store. These items are on order on a recurring basis and so come every week. I also sometimes get cheese or their pork breakfast sausages.
I really like this service. It cuts down on another heavy bag to lug and keeps me from going to the store just for milk and then buying another $50 of food.

The milk tastes much better than store milk, IMO. We order 3 1/2 gallons of 2 % and a smaller bottle of skim for me. We also get eggs regularly and other items occasionally. Their chocolate milk is amazing.

Figure out how much milk you use per week. We go through 3 half gallons of whole and one half gallon of 2%, so we order 4 bottles for weekly delivery. We also buy other things on occasion. Their bacon is good, and we've enjoyed their fruit (but you have to order 5 days in advance). I find their yogurt too sweet, but DH likes it, so we occasionally order that.
When you use up the milk, rinse out the glass bottles, and leave them in the milk box (without the caps) for pick up when the milkman comes with the next delivery.

Please explain the concept. How does it work for a house where Kids are 2% andMom is skim? What are your favorite products?
