No limit on how long a gas line can be. Call a plumber to re-do the gas line.

Anyone know what is the safety code to relocate the kitchen gas cooktop in fairfax county? My kitchen is a U shape kitchen and the cooktop is currently in the middle of it. I want to change it from middle to the left side but not sure how long can the gas line be. Any idea?
