Careful what you wish for
All it would tell you that PG is in the middle of a multi year decline and rates towards the bottom of the state and way below average nationally. White and Asians lead the decline in scores by almost 80 point cumulatively between math and reading.
When will PG learned

Which is cute until your child gets to middle school and you realize that "P" was a "c" average and not the A+ you were assuming. Not to mention those "Bethesda & Potomac" clusters parents have been fleeing to private schools in record numbers. Lets make PG the best system possible, no need to compare it other school systems, the grass always look greener on the other side. I dont view this school system as horrible either, never did honestly.
It is irrelevant how you view it, what matters is college admission offices and how the outside world views the children who get out out into to the world with just an education to differentiate them form the countless others. Problem is the county isn't taken seriously and that affects kids.

If PG wants to show it should and can compete with MoCo within a few years, post the report with explanation on what they plan to do to improve the scores. This is part of the reason why the County isn't taken as seriously in the region (educationally).
