A <2 month old baby was found dead in a car on the West side of Alexandria on Monday. Horrible week.

I accidentally hit a squirrel once, and the impact was horribly obvious. There is absolutely no way the driver did not know he struck this poor woman.

Maybe now they'll deal with that strip of Commonwealth, which only has one narrow sidewalk on one side, which is obscured by a very large and unkempt hedge. I used to run a ton and that section of road was always scary, especially since it's an otherwise really safe road to run.

How horrific. At that time of day, there have GOT to be witnesses. If you were in the area and saw a vehicle maybe fleeing away, please come forward with any info.

I'm a female jogger in Alexandria, not too far way. This hits close to home. Has the woman been identified?

And get off your god damned devices, focus on your surroundings when driving. Responding to that text or call isn't worth it.

Was there another one? I've been getting a bunch of e-mails via Alexandria VAPD this morning - this one definitely occurred earlier today.

Still no new info, and driver still at large.

No, there was not a fatal accident in that area Monday. Just the one today. So tragic.
