Our elm begins to lose leaves at this time every single year. It appears to be healthy and we do deep root fertilization and dutch elm preventative care.

I have a cherry, several maples, oaks, and dogwoods and none are losing leaves yet. The dogwoods are putting out bright red berries, but that is the only fall change so far. I do typically water my trees though the summer, but not so much this summer because we actually had a lot of rain.

Both our cherry trees have lost almost all their leaves already.

Sounds like the sycamore is sick. I have 2 huge beautiful sycamores and the are still fine.

Many trees around me have already begun losing their leaves. My front yard is full of leaves from the tree across the street (Sycamore? It has super-ugly huge, brown leaves). My backyard is starting to fill with maple leaves. My neighbor's Magnolia has lost about 10% of its leaves already.

Cherry trees lose leaves early. My yoshino trees are almost done already.

Some kinds of trees are more drought sensitive than others. Trees planted in the last 2-3 years also need more water to prevent leaf drop.

Probably due to drought. They need water, are stressed due to lack of it, and are dropping leaves. Some trees are more affected than others by lack of water/rain.

In my NOVA neighborhood, I see several of the same type of tree already with a pile of yellow leaves on the ground.
Anyone know what might be losing already?
