Not sure I understand - he left to get promotion somewhere else?

I don't remember her name. Was big into ladybugs. She was generally unresponsive and when we needed her help on a couple of different occasions she was not helpful or supportive at all.

There is not a meaningful difference in pay between Fairfax and Loudoun, and Arlington has a higher percentage of low income students than Fairfax. In any event, are you saying these two teachers, in particular, left for higher pay in another jurisdiction?
New Poster. I don't know about Longfellow, but there were several teachers that left McLean HS last year for higher paying jobs elsewhere or similar pay in lower cost of living areas. I don't really keep track, but it seemed like more left this past year than in previous years.
I was at a PTA meeting this spring where the McLean principal reported on a higher than usual level of impending departures. There is also a picture up now on the school's webpage of 20 or so new staff members for the coming year, so it appears they filled the vacancies.
