We're talking about bed pillows, right? I confess to replacing about every three months. I do not bother washing my pillows. I semi recycle as the two new pillows I use for sleeping and the older two pillows I use with shams for a few months.

I buy pillows at Tuesday Morning or TJ!axx/Marshalls

Thanks for the tips on Costco and IKEA, I will definitely check those out!!

I don't buy washable pillows (memoryfoam), so yes, I replace them every 2 years. I get that it's wasteful but they'd be really disgusting if I kept them longer. Pillow protectors only do so much - and the plastic kind make too much noise and are HOT.

Wasteful and bad for the planet. Use a pillow protector.

I really was pleasantly surprised with my IKEA pillows. Cheap and comfortable.

Dust mites people! Pillows get heavier every year due to live and dead dustmites and their excrement. Ikea and marshals/tjmaxx have cheap pillows.

Why are pillows so expensive?? Has anyone found a place to purchase affordable yet comfortable pillows? I love the Westin Heavenly pillows, which we had and they only lasted a couple of years.
