Do you know of local chapters? When I do a search for 25 miles within DC, nothing comes up. Probably the search engine is just broken but it's been that way for at least a couple days now.

Do you have a Pacers or a Potomac Running Store near you? They often have running groups. Also seemommyrun.com or momsrunthistown.com

Black Girls Run. They have running groups all over the area. I don't believe they discriminate, so if you do not consider yourself "black", you can still run with them.

OP, don't call yourself a slow runner. I am 10:30-11:00 for my conversation pace. Some people think I'm fast.
Does your neighborhood have a list serve that you could send a message on? That's how I met one of my running partners.

You might want to try Meetup.com. I've looked for running partners when I've been training for stuff. There were a couple of groups that met near my house. I didn't end up doing it because I wanted something more formal for training purposes.

My current running partner is moving and I'm trying to find someone that might be interested in early morning runs on weekends. Any good places to safely find someone like this in Montgomery County? I'd like to avoid having to pay to join a training group as I am looking for something more informal. I'm a slow runner 10:30-11 pace on long runs) so I'm not looking for something elite or intense either.
