At 2% vs 4%, that is double the "failure" rate. And that is with perfect use. I don't think your kind of drunk, didn't mean to have unprotected sex rendezvous counts in perfect use. You're more likely in the 18% typical use category.

I've used it with two partners successfully for a total of 5 years, mid thirties, no accidents. I did get pregnant twice intentionally on the first or second try earlier.

Age 40. Withdrawal method for entire 10-year marriage. Got pregnant immediately after one pregnancy attempt. So far, one kid, no accidents. I always get nervous reading these threads but it has worked for us so far.

Similar to PP here. We've used it for 10 years and had no issues. Got pregnant with 1st the first time we tried to conceive, 2nd one w/n 5 months (cycle wasn't regular yet from pumping over 13 months).

DH and I have used withdrawal successfully for the past five years or so-- never pay attention to when I am fertile, just pull out every time. Got pregnant twice on the first try do I know I can get pregnant easily.

Such bad, bad advice. Just because you didn't get pregnant doesn't mean the method you used worked. There's such a small window to get pregnant in, that your frequency and timing of sex is much more relevant. How old are you?

Give that the OP believes she is near ovulation, she should take other precautions if she doesn't want another child. Sure, the chances are in favor that she wouldn't get pregnant (EVEN IF HE HADN'T PULLED OUT! That's just how getting pregnant works!), but he was drunk, she's not familiar with her cycles yet, sounds like she doesn't want another kid - there's a cheap mostly-effective safety net, use it.

I just had my Mirena removed and my DH and I got a little drunk this past weekend and had unprotected sex. He didn't ejaculate inside me, but because it's around my ovulation time, I'm slightly concerned. It's been SO LONG that I haven't been either pregnant or on BC that I need a refresher course. Planned Parenthood's website says withdrawal has a 96% effective rate. Should I get Plan B just to be sure? It's expensive for what I think is probably a long shot.
