Such bad, bad advice. Just because you didn't get pregnant doesn't mean the method you used worked. There's such a small window to get pregnant in, that your frequency and timing of sex is much more relevant. How old are you?
Give that the OP believes she is near ovulation, she should take other precautions if she doesn't want another child. Sure, the chances are in favor that she wouldn't get pregnant (EVEN IF HE HADN'T PULLED OUT! That's just how getting pregnant works!), but he was drunk, she's not familiar with her cycles yet, sounds like she doesn't want another kid - there's a cheap mostly-effective safety net, use it.
