No idea, cause I'm not there. Come home to a clean house and say a little toast to the Lysol fairies. Could not care less what they choose to wear on their feet while they are wiping out my toilet.

Owner of housecleaning company here. We wear them in homes with small children and/or if it's messy out. They can be a safety hazard (slipping on stairs).

We make her take a Clorox bath and then don a clean suit. I'm surprised you require anything less.

Ours leaves her shoes at the front door and wears socks, sometimes barefeet. I would expect if she wore shoes, they would be decently clean, although we don't wear shoes in the house.

Ours has disposable booties she puts over her shoes (the booties have little grippy things on the bottom so they aren't slick). I do appreciate that.

Or do they wear foot covers? When we had a cleaning company, they always wore foot covers. Our new housekeeper is a one-person operation and just wears her regular shoes. When it rains, she just does the cursory wipe on our welcome mat but not much more. I'm curious what other housekeepers wear.
