Your image hasn't changed drastically enough. Friend lost 200 lbs. they made her take a new picture.

Oh and I'm pp, they have taken even more recent photos of me that show up when I swipe my badge, but isn't printed.

We get new ones every few years. I'm an 8 year fed and am on my third picture. The new pictures are super ugly- we can't smile, so we basically look like serial killers. I think this is your agency that's not reissuing.

No photos change. They are a "snapshot", if you will, of a particular moment in time.

Eventually though they will have self-ageing photos, which gradually turn your hair gray and stretch you out by about a pound a year.

They retake ours every few years, as they did at my old agency. Where my daughter goes to daycare, the federal facility that houses them takes a new picture yearly.
