Whole Foods or SilverSpring/TakomaPark coop for Fenugreek pills
Yogi-brand nursing tea, which you can get on Amazon. I often found it was sold out in stores.
Steel-cut oatmeal from Trader Joe's -- delish w/ fresh berries. Find it in the freezer section.

I bought the mother's milk tea at Whole Foods. (I assume you've read the threads on fenugreek and peanut allergies. I won't wade into that debate. But that kid did develop peanut allergies.)

I got my Fenugreek at CVS. Other things I tried (not sure what worked or if it was a certain combination of things or if it just took time but BF eventually did work for me when it didnt look like it was going to in the beginning): oatmeal (yes, you can try the cookies or other recipes that use oatmeal if you don't like to eat it in mush form), mother's milk tea (bought at Safeway in the natural foods section), heating pads, dark beer. But, also consider this: http://kellymom.com/bf/can-i-breastfeed/herbs/herbal_galactagogue/ (info recommending against worrying about taking galactagogues). Anyway, that's what I did. and i took 9 capsules of fenugreek a day.

I HATE oatmeal.
Would oatmeal cookies work?

Yes. There are lots of recipes: http://www.food.com/recipe/oatmeal-chocolate-chip-lactation-cookies-by-noel-trujillo-192346

Oatmeal and fluids made the biggest difference for me

Get mine at GNC. CVS showed it stocked in some of their stores, so you could check online before going.

You could buy the pills at a Whole Foods or MOMS Organic Market but as PP stated, the seeds are more effective and you can buy those at an Indian store. Soak them overnight in water and eat in the AM. You could also buy the greens and eat those in the same manner as spinach/kale/chard.

Also try oatmeal and mother's milk tea! Good luck!

Any "ethnic" grocery store will have it. Moms and Whole Foods should too.

Do you want the seeds or the herb? I think it's the seeds that are supposed to be most beneficial when BFing.

last ditch supply efforts-- where do I buy fenugreek on my DC preschool drop off run tomorrow? Giant didn't have it today. CVS? MOMs? H street/NOMA preferred
