I did go to my PCP after all the push back I got from SG and believe it or not my PCP said she wouldn't give me the order because my fertility clinic wouldn't give me one! I could write more, but I'm so over this craziness. Someone told me that the medical system is geared this way so that insurance companies don't have to cover too many tests. Anyway, my next thought was to enlist an MD friend in my pursuit. But thankfully, it won't have to come to that. I just got my period today and I can make it for the ultrasound before I leave for my flight.
Btw, I think my day 3 issue for SG was because I have Aetna and they will only cover day 3 sonograms.
Thanks you all! I get to do my day 3 monitoring and hopefully make my flight to Chicago!
What was SG's reason for refusing? If it's because it's your first US with them and it's required by Aetna to authorize the cycle then yes, it's a pickle, but really not SG's fault, but the insurance company's.
