Pee, poop, and night trained at age 3.5. He had so much anxiety about the whole thing and would hold pee in for up to 7 hours, but once I was able to get him to do it a couple of times and he lost his anxiety about it, he did the rest himself. I think bribery is a very strong incentive for kids if they can be motivated by them, but my son was not motivated by anything I offered - he had way too much anxiety. Playing on the Ipad while sitting on the potty so he forgot about the anxiety worked for my son. Not the most ideal way to train, but it gets to the point where I've tried everything everybody was recommending and nothing stuck until we allowed him something that would distract him from his anxiety. There are many different reasons why a child can't be potty-trained, but if the reason is anxiety, figure out a way to distract him from his anxiety while on the potty and watch for the surprise look on his face when he does finally go.

My kid has low muscle tone, potty trained at 4.5 with Miralax.

4 for pee, 6 for poop.

3.5 for pee and then trained for poop right after turning 4. The pooping issue was much more difficult- he really only did it finally when we did a reward chart that ultimately led to giving him a new Lego set. Find something that really motivates them- hopefully it will work!

Be consistent. Put them in clothes they can pull down on their own without any snaps or zippers. Take (don't ask) the child to the potty on a regular/sensical schedule about every 2 hours, e.g., upon waking, b/f snack, b/f lunch, b/c leaving the house, etc. Have them sit 5 minutes on the toilet to help stimulate the elimination reflex (poop).

Use whatever motivates them too, e.g., stickers, points. Praise for trying. Don't get mad when they have an accident. I don't recommend using pull-ups and always carry extra clothes with you. It will happen.

5.5 yo poster here. When it happened, it was quite painless and he also potty trained for night just 1-2 months after mastering the daytime. And luckily it was no big deal at his preschool (a very laid back and kind coop). Try not to compare your dc with other kids. Its a waste of mental space.

3 years 10 months for pee and like 5.5 for poop. Poop training required medication - carefully timed and dosed Miralax. PP is right - patience and wine.

Wine for you. I don't think you can rush mother nature. When they can do it, 99% of time they will do it.
