I've always heard late summer/early fall is the best time to plant trees. This would allow them to establish during the fall and be best prepared for a hot summer. When I Google this, I read a variety of responses, all which are based on regions, but nothing I would consider reliable.
So, I wanted to ask here - if there is any suggestions on when I should plant?
For reference, I'm looking to plant 3-5 large Leland Cyprus (probably 30 gallon tubs and already 20 feet tall), and a few crepe myrtles. The lawn does have a sprinkler system.
Thanks.
