I like that one! I was thinking of getting this one, which is similar, for the smaller of the rooms I am putting the fans in. I am keeping my costs down because, quite frankly, my house is cheap.

OP here. This is the fan I like. I have seen it in the store and it seemed really unique and pretty to me, plus I was hoping to stay at less than $200, so I felt it was a win. I feel like the one issue may be that the lights are not bright enough:

Thank you to the pp who said the hugger circulates air in her house. I feel like the couple of inches can't make that much of a difference in the air circulation but I've been wrong before.

Not OP, but I too have 8 foot ceilings in a cape code dormer am looking for a stylish hugger- recommend your fan!

I got the low profile hugger fans for our home. They do a great job of moving air around 14x16 rooms.

I am thinking of getting some ceiling fans for my upstairs bedrooms. They have 8 foot ceilings (which are the norm) but I am thinking of getting the low-profile hugger fans because one of my beds is an antique and is rather high. But I heard that the hugger fans are not as effective at moving air through the room. What do you think? TIA!
