If you're looking for work, you should have a suit. If the one you have is too warm to wear, you need one that isn't. Is your suit wool, OP?

I work in a business casual office. If you come in without a suit or some semblance of a suit (e.g. pps dress that looks like part of a suit), I'm not hiring you.

Hmm...it's hard to tell without knowing the job. I personally feel that unless you are physically comfortable, you won't be able to put your best self forward. you don't want to be sweating or worrying about your suit during the discussion.

It is what it is.

There was a thread a couple months ago where everyone advised OP not to wear a suit.

Who knows anymore.

Why type of job were they interviewing for?
If I didn't have a suit available to me I'd wear a professional dress, one that looks like it could be part of a suit if at all possible. But if I had a suit and just didn't want to wear it because of the weather, I'd get past that and wear it anyway.

You don't have a suit available to you? What does that mean?

I wore a full suit for my interviews last summer, but I didn't put on the jacket until inside the building. And I wore a short sleeve blouse also.

I can't imagine not wearing a full suit to an interview. Pants suit is fine. I've worked in consulting and marketing.

I didn't wear a full suit. I wore like a suit-like dress. I probably could have gotten away with a dress or a professional-looking pant/shirt combo, but I wanted to play it safe for dressing up or down. But I work for the Government. Maybe law or something is different.

Nylons? I'm wearing suit pants. Is that also a no-go?

I guess it matters what your field is, but I can't imagine showing up for a job interview in anything other than a conservative suit. Sorry, OP. You have my sympathies. Good luck tomorrow!

+1. I'd also wear nylons

Good luck, op
