Yes, I'm fine with that for my own kids if they want to play.

I'm very liberal. My 12 yr old can read any book, listen to any music she wants. But no on cards against humanity. Totally inappropriate.

One card is "Dick Fingers" and another is "Cut up pieces of a dead hooker"

I suppose you could go through the deck & take out the most offensive ones.

Mature (and I mean intellectually and emotionally mature - not just old enough to have sex mature) high schoolers and college age - not below. There was stuff I had to look up on the internet in the sex camp. And then there was just "wrong" cards - could be demeaning, racist, anti-semitic - and if your child is still impressionable, may not be the most appropriate game. Agree that Apples to Apples would be much better.

to be honest, even at 16 I bet there would be cards that I didn't 100% understand! Not many but at least a couple.

I think its most definitely in the "for adults" camp. I feel like college would be the most appropriate entry TBH. I wouldn't bar my late HSers from it or anything but its not really "appropriate" for them either. Heck, the whole point is that its inappropriate!

My 14yr old can play any video game if it is only violent. Anything sexual and no they can't. I check on common sense media. They are not allowed to play cards against humanity but I know from texts and IG that many teens are starting to play.

Agree that this is not appropriate for the under 15 set, at the very youngest. Take a look at the cards. It's not a game you would feel comfortable playing *with* your kids. Or your parents, for that matter. Apples to apples is a good alternative.

You can get Apples to Apples if you want a family-friendly version.

I would not feel comfortable having my preteen play this. But we have not bent on the no M video games either.

That said I wouldn't let 10-13 year olds play this game, especially if they were not my kids. I would also be upset to find out my 10 year old son was doing this at someone else's house. ( I have a 10 year old son.)

Also Call of Duty or anything really violent like that or 17+, I would really hesitate.

commonsensemedia has a good app where you can check yourself.

+1

I love the game, but I would never let kids that young play.

For those of you who play Cards Against Humanity, do you let your pre-teens and young teens play? There's a group of kids who have gotten into the game, and I'm wondering the appropriateness for ages 10-13. Or is this a thing like the killer video games, Call of Duty, etc. -- rated 17+ but everyone just plays.
