Go get a protective order against her. She has no right to hit you. She can be forced to take anger management classes. Start making an exit plan too. Consult a divorce lawyer.

You absolutely should do this, OP. Do you have children? If not, this group can help you put together an safe exit plan, but you have some easier options. If there are children involved, things get a lot more complicated. Unfortunately, men who are abused face a high risk of being accused of abuse themselves when they try to leave, and since, statistically speaking, men are far more likely to be physically abusive than women, women making false accusations ae given a far greater benefit of the doubt than their abused husbands. Thus hotline will help you put a plan together to bolster your case against your wife for custody.

We have a friend who was in the same situation. He was very masculine and a big dude, and I admire him for now we hitting back, but he was abused by his ex wife verbally and physically. She was psycho. Get out.

I'm tired of it. She only gets away with it b/c I was taught to "never hit a girl." However, there are times I really just want to floor her when she throws punches. Instead, I just walk away.
