It was silly of your daughter not to disclose she was on Adderall. She should just do it if she has to. On the other hand, I would not allow my child to take a job where she has to be drug tested.

I'd get the results first and find out what the positive rest was.

If she didn't disclose that she was on Adderall when she was supposed to, it's probably a lost cause. Even if she shows she has a prescription, I wouldn't hire her. She can't follow basic instructions. Be clear with her that she needs to be up front about her medications before testing, and have her apply for more jobs.

OP, if she says they won't accept her explanation retroactively, then I would be a little concerned. It should have been clear when they gave her the test that she was supposed to disclose legal drugs that would result in a positive. This stinks of "my dog ate my homework" to me.

Feds test for five drugs, including amphetamines and oxy, I think.

According to Dr. Google, Adderall will result in a failed drug test. Why don't you have her call the manager and have a conversation about this?

A LOT of people take ADHD meds. I'd be surprised if they were screening for that, unless it s a general amphetamine positive.

She's a minor. Did you consent for her to be drug tested? If so, you should be able to get the results. (your daughter's story sounds unlikely. and teach her not to lie.)

I don't know, some people abuse Adderall so maybe they test for it. Unfortunately, I don't think you will ever see the official results of the test so you may never really know.

So My DD was hired for a part time job at walmart. the problem is that she failed the drug test. HOLD ON.. When I first herd that I was flipping out . But she told me she didn't tell them she took Adderall for her ADHD.. is it true if she fails to tell them that she fails the drug test?
